What is Segment One?

In Michigan, our teens have to go through a Graduated Licensing process called GDL.  The first step is called Segment One.  Segment One is the main ingredient of drivers training, including 24 hours of classroom, 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction, and 4 hours of in car observation.  Once your teen has successfully completed Segment One, we will issue them a Certificate of Completion that they will bring to the Secretary of State, and they will receive their Level One License or "permit."

The total cost for Segment I through us is $350.

The total cost for Segment II through us is $50.
