Segment One

 24 hours of classroom instruction

Our classes run 3 to 6 weeks in length, depending on the location, and typically run Monday through Thursday.  Each class runs for 2 hours with a total of 12 classes.  Students must be at least 14 years 8 months old by the first day of class.  Students must pass a vision test and provide a certified birth certificate.

6 hours in the vehicle training

Each student will receive a minimum of six hours behind the wheel with an instructor. Listed below are a few examples of what we teach during each drive.

4 hours in the vehicle observation

Each student is required to have 4 hours of observation time.  We typically pair the students up and schedule the drive times in 2 hour blocks.  One hour for driving, and one hour for observation.

    State written test

During the final class, each student will take the state knowlege test.  It is 80 questions, all multiple choice, and they MUST score an 80% or better to receive a Certificate of Completion from Marazita Driving School.

 Segment Two

6 hours of classroom sessions

Segment two is held over a period of 3 days.  Each class is 2 hours in length and does  not involve driving.  Segment Two is basically the opposite of Segment One.  In Segment One, the instructors do all of the teaching and guidance.  Segment Two, the students do most of the talking.  They talk as a class about their experiences behind the wheel and what they have learned in their 30 hours of driving.

Topics discussed in Segment Two

Risks, the dangers of drinking and driving, bad habits, how different vehicles handle, oversteer, understeer, and they fill out a self evaluation on their driving skills.

Who can take Segment Two?

Anyone who has been on their Level One license for 3 months and has a minimum of 30 logged driving hours.  2 of these hours have to be at night.

What do I bring?

Students must bring in their Level One License (NOT the green certificate of completion) and a copy of their logged driving hours.
